About Course

This course explores electromagnetic fields (EMF) through an evidence-based and practical lens, combining scientific insight with everyday strategies to support health in a technology-driven world. You will gain a clear understanding of EMF sources, biological interactions, and ways to reduce unnecessary exposure.
Estimated learning time: 1–2 hours, depending on your pace.

What Will You Learn?

  • The fundamentals of electromagnetic fields and how they are generated
  • Common sources of EMF in daily life
  • Current scientific perspectives on potential health effects
  • Addressing common myths and misinformation surrounding EMF
  • Real-world case examples of long-term EMF exposure
  • Practical strategies to reduce EMF exposure at home and in the workplace

Course Content

Module 1: Introduction to EMF and its Health Impact
This module introduces participants to the basics of electromagnetic fields (EMF), their sources, and potential health impacts. It will help learners differentiate between types of radiation, understand the scientific research on EMF exposure, and recognise how EMF may influence health. This module also introduces a real-world case study to illustrate the potential effects of long-term EMF exposure.  Learning Objectives:  By the end of this module, participants will be able to:  Understand the basic science of electromagnetic fields (EMF). Identify common household and environmental sources of EMF. Recognise the potential health risks of EMF exposure based on current scientific research. Discuss the differences between ionising and non-ionising radiation. Relate clinical symptoms to possible EMF exposure through a real-world case study.

Module 2: Myth and Misconceptions about EMF
This module addresses the common myths surrounding electromagnetic fields (EMF), particularly the misinformation spread by media and public discourse. By examining popular misconceptions and understanding the role of media in amplifying fear, learners will be able to distinguish between evidence-based science and fear-driven narratives. The module includes a real-world case study of a patient with electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) to illustrate the psychological impact of EMF myths.  Learning Objectives:  By the end of this module, participants will be able to:  Identify common myths and misconceptions about EMF. Understand how fear-based media narratives influence public perception. Differentiate between scientifically backed EMF risks and unsupported claims. Relate psychological impacts of fear-driven EMF concerns to clinical presentations like EHS.

Module 3: Practical Ways to Reduce EMF Exposure
This module provides practical, actionable strategies to reduce exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) in everyday life. It emphasizes simple, scientifically supported methods to minimize EMF exposure in the home and workplace. Additionally, a real-world case study will highlight how making small changes can reduce EMF exposure and improve overall well-being.

Module 4: Earthing – Science and Benefits
This module explores the concept of earthing, also known as grounding, and its potential health benefits. It will focus on how earthing connects the body to the Earth's energy and its effects on reducing stress, inflammation, and improving sleep. Additionally, scientific research supporting these claims will be discussed, along with a case study demonstrating the practical benefits of earthing.  By the end of this module, participants will be able to:  Understand the concept of earthing and its potential health benefits. Explore scientific research on earthing, including its effects on inflammation, stress, and sleep. Discuss how earthing can complement EMF reduction strategies for holistic well-being. Relate earthing practices to improved health outcomes through a clinical case study.
